My Mining Rig

                                           My Mining Rig

This is an article about what I use to mine Litecoin and how to set it up.  I won`t talk too much about the software though.

                                               Parts

-I use a Gridseed 5 chip miner that can mine BTC and/or LTC it uses 7 watts, 6 amps

-It hashes at about 400-450 khashes/s

-I connected it to my computer with a usb to mini usb cable

-A power cable that puts out at least 7 watts and 6 amps is needed

                                               Setup

The first thing you need to do is set up a Litecoin wallet.  I use Litecoin-qt, but there are lots of other wallets to choose from.  The second thing you need to do is install mining software.  I use cpu miner, but there are others.  You also need driver software.  This is the software part.  The next part is the hardware.

In terms of hardware, I`ll be telling you how to set up the Gridseed 5 chip miner that can mine BTC and/or LTC.  It`s very simple.  First, you need to plug it in to your computer.  You`ll need a usb to mini usb cable.  Hook up the mini usb end to the miner`s mini usb slot, and the usb end to your computer.  Then, hook up the power cable.  The round end goes into the miner, and the wall plug end goes into the wall/power bar.

That`s the setup.  If you want a more in depth description on the software, there are tutorials on Youtube.  Happy mining!
